Bright & Shining Face Painting in Baltimore and Columbia, MD :
We only use professional, FDA compliant makeup. The makeup is water activated, meaning we use a wet brush or sponge to pick up the color and apply the product on the skin.
This lighter makeup replaced the heavy “Pancake” makeup for stage and screen. And it comes in every color of the rainbow (Yay!).
You can be assured that we paint ourselves repeatedly and we decided to only keep the colors that wash off easily. Because really – do you want that Green Dragon Skull ghosting its way into your Holiday photos? No. You want to be able to wash your little monsters right before bed and not have to struggle to remove the makeup.
Bright & Shining Face Painting in Baltimore and Columbia, MD uses artists who utilize products from various brands purchased through reputable vendors. You probably won’t find our kits’ products down at the local craft store, just as you won’t find premium makeup in the drugstore aisles. There might be something that looks similar, but the differences are significant.
The FDA complaint products our artists use are made using ingredients approved for use on the skin.
On the other hand, craft products can be made of any ingredients without concern for:
- Irritation
- Topical Allergen Concerns
- Difficulty of Removal
“Non-Toxic” on the label is not enough to make a product suitable for use on the face and body.
Here are examples of “No No” products that we won’t allow:
The above are examples of the biggest offenders.
